Job summary

Tohono O’odham Community College is seeking an On-Call Security Guard to help protect students, staff and property on our Main Campus in Sells, AZ. This part-time, non-exempt position requires vigilance, reliability, and the ability to respond quickly to emergencies.

You will patrol grounds, verify doors and gates, document incidents in a daily log, and coordinate with local law enforcement as needed. O’odham or Spanish language skills are a plus; valid driver’s license and background check

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of security or related experience.
• A valid state Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass a criminal background check and obtain fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hourly patrols of the campus by motor vehicle or on foot to deter unauthorized entry and protect facilities.
• Ensure all doors, windows, and gates are properly locked and secured.
• Act as a first responder to emergency situations and coordinate with law enforcement as necessary.
• Maintain a daily log of events and report unsafe conditions to the proper authorities.
• Support campus values and work with the safety team to maintain a secure environment.
