Job summary

Loyola Academy is hiring a School Safety Officer for a 12-month, full-time, non-exempt role. The officer will patrol campuses, monitor entrances, and enforce safety procedures across events and after-hours activities.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of security experience and be CPR/AED/First Aid certified or able to obtain certification within 90 days. Applicants should align with the Jesuit, Catholic mission and be prepared to engage with students, staff, and families to maintain a safe

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred; High School diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year of security experience requested.
• Certification in CPR/AED/First Aid or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Display ethical, professional behavior with students, staff, and visitors.
• Notify administration and emergency personnel of emergencies or threats.
• Assist staff and police in handling emergencies or disruptive situations.
• Adhere to Loyola Academy policies and safety officer expectations.
• Patrol campus, monitor entrances, and ensure secured access.
• Direct visitors and manage sign-in procedures at campus.
• Monitor hallways, doors, windows, and alarm systems for safety.
• Support during events outside typical hours and on weekends.
