Qualifications

• Must be able to explain and demonstrate essential functions of the job
• Strong computer literacy with MS Office Suite and accurate data entry skills
• Maintain an established work schedule
• Adhere to local, state, federal laws and LECOM policies
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of laws, policies and guidelines in areas of responsibility
• Capable of working independently as needed
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and student information
• Comply with OSHA and safety protocols

Responsibilities

• Promotes and preserves the mission of LECOM
• Represent the department professionally to faculty, staff, and visitors
• Maintain confidentiality and professional appearance
• Patrol campus to protect personnel and property
• Enforce laws and campus regulations, escort violators off campus
• Investigate irregularities and document incidents with detailed reports
• Prepare written incident reports and log daily activities
• Assist other law enforcement officers on campus
• Monitor activities of students, employees and visitors
• Enforce campus policies and parking regulations
• Conduct escorts during night hours and provide after-hours support
• Enter daily activity and incident reports for leadership review
• Provide support during snow events and maintain entryways clear of snow and ice
• Perform duties to maintain a safe and secure campus environment
• Accept other duties as assigned by the Director of Campus Police and Security
