Job summary

The First Academy in Orlando, FL seeks a vigilant Security Guard (Guard Booth) to ensure a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. This 10-month, hourly role requires strict adherence to visitor verification procedures and proactive monitoring across the campus.

As the primary gatekeeper, you will log incidents, manage badges, and swiftly address suspicious behavior in alignment with school safety protocols, maintaining a Christ-like attitude throughout routine and emergency

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid and crisis intervention certifications may be required.
• Experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred.
• Strong observation and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all entries and exits and control access through Gate A.
• Maintain daily logs, incident reports, and maintenance requests for the booth and equipment.
• Verify visitor identities and issue or collect visitor badges.
• Deny entry to unauthorized individuals and report suspicious activity promptly.
• Monitor student movement and identify policy violations or unusual behavior.
• Maintain vigilance, monitor radio channel, and respond calmly to emergencies.
• Monitor CCTV footage (if applicable) to aid security.
• Implement and enforce school safety procedures and protocols.
