Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior security, safety, or related experience preferred.
• Florida security license preferred or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of campus safety and incident documentation.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and use good judgment.
• Strong observation and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with children.

Responsibilities

• Monitor school grounds, entrances, and common areas to promote safety.
• Assist with visitor check-in and access protocols.
• Observe and report suspicious activity or safety concerns.
• Support arrival, dismissal, lunch, and school events.
• Respond to emergencies according to school procedures.
• Assist administrators with student supervision and de-escalation.
• Prepare written incident reports timely and professionally.
• Enforce safety procedures and emergency plans.
• Communicate respectfully with students, families, staff, and visitors.
• Coordinate with leadership and local emergency personnel when needed.
• Inspect gates, doors, and security areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
