Job summary

The University of North Carolina Pembroke Police Department seeks Temporary Public Safety Officers for the 2025-2026 period. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification as a Law Enforcement Officer per NC CJT Standards Commission.
• Ability to work 0-30 hours per week with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus parking lots, streets, grounds and buildings to enforce laws and protect people and property.
• Respond to complaints, investigate violations, identify witnesses, preserve evidence, and testify when required.
• Provide first aid, traffic control, and safety escorts; coordinate emergency response when needed.
• Attend required training to maintain law enforcement certification and keep up to date with university policies.
