Job summary

Barnard College is seeking a Staff Psychotherapist reporting to the Clinical Director of the Rosemary Furman Counseling Center. This role provides direct clinical services to Barnard students, including intake assessments, short-term individual therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, and referrals.

The 35-hour/week position involves periodic nights/weekends on an on-call rotation, with opportunities to lead specialty groups, participate in campus outreach, and support trainee supervision

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in Counseling/Clinical Psychology or LCSW-eligible requirements.
• Licensed or license-eligible in New York State; license must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments, individual psychotherapy, group therapy, and emergency/crisis response.
• Provide culturally informed trauma-informed care.
• Participate in the clinic's on-call after-hours rotation.
• Facilitate specialty therapy groups or psychoeducational workshops.
• Engage in outreach and training to students; contribute to quality assurance and data reporting.
