Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Must be a citizen of the United States.
• Must meet the requirements of Section 943.13, Florida Statutes, and the ability to pass the state certification exam for Law Enforcement Officers within six months of hire.
• A valid State of Florida or Georgia driver's license or the ability to obtain prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Protect life and property, deter crime, and enforce laws on campus.
• Patrol campus, respond to alarms, incidents, and coordinate with other agencies.
• Conduct investigations, secure crime scenes, interview witnesses.
• Write detailed reports on incidents and property loss.
• Provide security for events and participate in crime prevention programs.
• Support safety education and other duties to support the department's mission.
