Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• Current Texas Peace Officer’s license issued by TCOLE, required
• Valid Texas driver’s Class C license, required
• Incident Command System Training 100
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively with Pupils and the Public
• Demonstrate ability to write effective, correct and legally complete offense report
• Three (3) years experience as a police officer, preferred

Responsibilities

• Respond to all calls for service from District campuses, facilities or general public.
• Write effective, legal incident reports.
• Collect evidence for supporting criminal investigations and file appropriate charges.
• Enforce all federal, state and local laws.
• Conduct investigations when necessary based on information.
• Assist District personnel with law enforcement or safety related complaints.
• Maintain good public relations with students and staff.
• Enforce district rules and procedures.
• Follow Procedures Manual guidelines to fulfill objectives.
• Meet TCOLE weapons proficiency requirements.
• Work well with others and adapt to change.
• Maintain training hours and obtain required certifications.
• Serve legal documents to parents informing them of court hearings.
• Follow customer service standards.
