Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in plumbing maintenance, HVAC, or related field.
• Ability to communicate in American Sign Language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing duties: inspect, repair, replace sinks, toilets, urinals, water heaters, drains and vents; install piping and fixtures as required.
• Use plumbing tools such as pipe threaders, power snakes, and welding equipment.
• Maintain inventory of plumbing parts and restock as needed.
• Respond to emergency calls; assist other maintenance staff.
• Assist HVAC Mechanics when required with plumbing tasks.
• Repipes plumbing systems per D.C. codes and standards.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and suggest improvements.
• Coordinate with outside contractors as needed and order supplies.
