Job summary

Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) is seeking a Director of Permitting & Code Enforcement at San Diego State University. This role involves leading the university's permitting, inspection, and code enforcement functions, ensuring compliance with regulations and collaborating with various campus departments.

The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in related fields, managerial experience, and must possess effective leadership and communication skills. This full-time position is based on-site in sunny San Diego, CA.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of managerial experience in project planning and implementation services.
• Experience working in a service-oriented environment requiring initiative and problem-solving.
• California Architectural License or NCARB Certification acceptable with licensure within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee permitting, inspection, and code enforcement operations.
• Ensure compliance with CSU policies and California Building Standards Code.
• Guide project permitting, design review, and occupancy approvals.
