Job summary

Saint Mary's High School in Stockton, CA is seeking a vigilant Campus Monitor to help maintain a safe, orderly environment. You will supervise hallways, monitor the guard shack, check visitors in, and direct them to the Main Office, while supporting student supervision during passing periods and events.

As a visible, professional presence, you will participate in emergency drills and coordinate with the Dean of Students and administration to address safety concerns and maintain campus operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hallways and common areas to promote a safe, orderly, and respectful campus environment.
• Monitor and secure the campus guard shack, ensuring appropriate access and security procedures are followed.
• Greet all visitors upon arrival and accurately check visitors into the school's security database.
• Direct visitors to the Main Office once they have entered campus and ensure visitors follow established campus procedures.
• Monitor designated areas of campus as directed by the Dean of Students.
• Monitor and control foot traffic in and around the Student Store to maintain capacity.
• Conduct timely and routine surveillance of campus facilities, grounds, and designated areas to identify safety, security, or maintenance concerns.
• Report suspicious activity, safety concerns, unauthorized visitors, student behavior concerns, or facility issues to the Dean of Students.
• Assist with maintaining appropriate student movement and supervision during passing periods, breaks, lunch, and other designated times.
• Support administration and school personnel with campus supervision and security needs as requested.
• Assist with emergency situations, drills, and other campus safety procedures as directed by school administration.
• Maintain a visible and professional presence throughout campus.
• Perform other duties related to campus safety, security, and student supervision as assigned by the Dean of Students.
• Possible support when asked by Dean of Students at extracurricular events (Saint Mary's High School Graduation, Bachelorette Mass, football games, etc.)

Position Summary
