Job summary

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA is seeking a part-time campus ministry intern focused on learning the basics of college campus ministry. This program targets students enrolled in four-year or community colleges, with opportunities for various year levels to intern at different campus types.

You will join a campus ministry team, contribute to spiritual growth initiatives, teach Scripture, and promote the Mission on campus while developing leadership, cross-cultural awareness, and relational

• A developing passion for evangelism
• Leadership qualities: initiative, self-awareness, cultural awareness
• Strong communication, professionalism, teamwork and relational maturity

Responsibilities

• Participate and engage with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction
• Contribute to the accomplishment of the campus ministry team’s plans for spiritual growth and transformation
• Teach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their lives
• Promote the Mission on campus (to advance witnessing communities that are bolder, broader, and more ethnically diverse): seek opportunities to proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ
• Learn to guide chapters in strategic witness development at the university
• Learn to model and assist students and faculty in growing in love for God's people of every ethnicity and culture
• Encourage a prayerful lifestyle in students, especially those not yet following Jesus
• Engage with supervision and training from staff ministry trainer/director
• Assist with reporting as assigned
• Serve as an ambassador of InterVarsity to ministry partners and churches via prayer and mission updates
