Job summary

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA is seeking a Ministry Intern to learn and prepare for full responsibilities of a Campus Minister in Texas. This one- to two-year program provides intensive training and supervised practice in campus ministry roles.

The position offers a paid monthly salary, with an end-term evaluation to determine eligibility for ongoing employment. You will engage in leadership, spiritual development, and administration as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Must affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement and Code of Conduct.
• Exploring calling to InterVarsity and its mission.
• Currently enrolled student with leadership in an InterVarsity Chapter.
• Currently enrolled student in 3rd or 4th year of undergrad with Area Director approval.
• Prior InterVarsity or campus ministry experience preferred.
• Willing to receive training to become Campus Staff Minister.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to contribute to an open and supportive relationship with ministry team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
• Teach students to study and apply Scripture to their lives.
• Assist in leading ministry to students and faculty on campus.
• Promote InterVarsity’s mission on campus and develop strategic witness.
• Develop leadership within chapters and plan witness activities.
• Foster relationships with diverse student groups and staff supervision.
• Support administrative tasks and reporting requirements.
