HealthFitness, managing Harvard Recreation in Cambridge, MA, seeks a Marketing Assistant for part-time in-person work. Help grow brand awareness through content creation, social media, and engagement across platforms.

Role supports events, campaigns, and daily social media operations within a campus recreation setting. The position offers about 15 hours per week, with a focus on hands-on marketing experience and collaboration with the Assistant Director of Marketing & Outreach.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Instagram and TikTok content strategies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Experience creating/editing content using Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, CapCut or similar tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, schedule, and publish social media content across platforms (short-form video, photos, graphics, captions).
• Attend programs/events to capture original content for real-time and future use, including on-camera appearances.
• Maintain the social media content calendar and coordinate timely promotions and campaigns.
• Research trends, platform updates, and audience behavior; propose new ideas to boost engagement.
• Review performance metrics, organize assets, and support outreach and campaigns while adhering to branding and privacy standards.
