Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead the Maintenance Operations group within Facilities Services. You will oversee a disciplined team, manage budgets, and ensure reliable upkeep of large-scale building systems on campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with progressive leadership experience.
• Extensive experience with large HVAC/mechanical/electrical systems and commissioning.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Maintenance Operations group and serves as a primary contact for maintenance plans and programs.
• Ensures efficient, cost-effective maintenance and optimal resource use across shops.
• Interprets policies, enforces standards, and maintains safety and housekeeping practices.
• Maintains strong relationships with campus clients to exceed expectations and support UT Austin goals.
• Develops energy conservation practices and supports sustainable policies across campus.
