Manpower Maine is hiring Campus Cooks and Prep Cooks for a busy campus dining environment in Waterville, ME. Positions pay $18 per hour and last through the school year, with opportunities across full-time, part-time, and weekend-only schedules.

We’re seeking experienced kitchen professionals who can prepare and cook menu items, perform prep work, and maintain high food quality with safe handling. Teamwork and reliable attendance are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook, prep cook, line cook, deli worker, cafeteria cook, or similar kitchen role.
• Ability to safely use knives and perform food preparation tasks including salads, sandwiches, and ingredient prep.
• Experience following recipes and preparing menu items in a fast-paced food service environment.
• Dependable attendance and the ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and established standards
• Perform food prep including knife work, salad preparation, sandwich assembly, and ingredient preparation
• Maintain food quality, proper temperatures, and attractive presentation throughout service
• Support efficient kitchen operations while following food safety and sanitation standards
• Assist with batch cooking and inventory management to reduce waste and ensure product availability
