Catalent is seeking a Campus Human Resources Director to lead the HR function across the Kansas City campus, partnering with site leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, culture, and business change.

This on-site, salaried role oversees talent strategies, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, HRIS, analytics, and development programs, with a focus on building high-performing teams and an inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, or related field required.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Experience with HRIS and data analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Represent HR on campus Site Leadership Teams and advise senior leaders.
  • Oversee organizational design in partnership with General Managers.

Position Summary

We have an opportunity for a Campus Human Resources Director to join our team and lead the HR function across our campus. In this role, you will partner with site leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, culture, and business change. You will oversee talent strategies, employee engagement, and HR processes to support business goals. This is a key leadership position focused on building high-performing teams and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace.

The HR Campus Director will be responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the Kansas City Site. This role will oversee all aspects of human resources, including talent management, organizational development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, and HR systems.

The Role
  • Represent HR in campus Site Leadership Teams, driving the talent agenda and providing leadership, coaching, and counsel to site leaders.
  • Oversee organizational design in partnership with General Managers to ensure alignment with strategic and financial plans.
  • Support leadership in managing organizational changes impacting people and talent, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders.
  • Lead talent planning, recruitment, retention, performance management, employee relations, and engagement activities.
  • Implement and continuously improve HR processes.
  • Build high-performing teams through coaching and mentoring leaders.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to deliver projects, programs, and maintain compliance.
  • Manage people-related projects and collaborate with the Global HR team.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Advise site management on HR issues and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Foster a positive company culture that promotes engagement and high performance.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to oversee recruitment and selection processes.
  • Partner with Talent Development to implement training and development programs.
  • Lead performance management processes, including setting standards and evaluations.
  • Manage employee relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts fairly.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion, ensuring equal opportunities for all employees.
  • Partner with Total Rewards on benchmarking and market analysis for equitable compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.
  • Use HR metrics and analytics to drive data-informed decisions and continuous improvement.
The Candidate
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in an HR leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and data analytics.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent‑sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience.
