Job summary

Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc. seeks a Security Officer responsible for protecting students, staff, patients and visitors across university and hospital campuses.

You may be posted at fixed posts or patrol, respond to incidents, check badges and escort unauthorized individuals, and assist during emergencies. This role requires a High School Diploma, security or related experience preferred, PA ACT 235 certification within 90 days, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior security, police or military experience preferred.
• PA ACT 235 Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license required for certain locations.
• Experience in campus/hospital security or related Criminal Justice agencies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform security duties at fixed posts or on patrol.
• Respond to calls for service and emergencies; notify supervisor as needed.
• Verify identity and escort unauthorized persons from campus.
• Investigate and document accidents, incidents, or suspicious activities.
• Maintain daily patrol logs and provide follow-up information to supervisors.
