Job summary

Fort Worth ISD invites applications for a Nurse Specialist Campus Health. The role supports the Director Health Services in implementing, coordinating, and evaluating comprehensive health services for students and school-based staff across campuses.

The position oversees nursing supervision, staff development, and policy adherence, ensuring safe operations and high-quality health care delivery district-wide. Applicants should have a BSN, Texas RN license, and at least 5 years in school nursing.

Qualifications

  • BSN degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Texas RN license in good standing; AED and CPR certificates current.
  • 5 years as a School Nurse; FWISD experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred in some settings.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state education laws and district policies.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and evaluate school nurses and health assistants; provide feedback to the Director.
  • Plan and assess departmental inventory needs.
  • Participate in staffing for the Health Services department.
  • Develop materials and update the Health Services Handbook and website.
  • Coordinate orientation and staff development for nurses and health assistants.
