Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Asheville Health and Counseling Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care and treatment to students. The nurse will conduct needs assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide education to students. Licensure in NC is required.

An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with 1–3 years of experience serving individuals aged 16–30 is preferred. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Preferred ADN or BSN with 1–3 years nursing experience with young adults.
• Ability to conduct assessments, provide care, and document in EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care and treatment to UNC Asheville students.
• Perform needs assessments, develop and implement treatment plans.
• Deliver education to students and document care in EMR.
• Carry out injections, venipuncture, specimen collection and provider orders.
