Job summary

Lockhart ISD seeks a Health Aide at Lockhart Junior High to assist the School Nurse with routine health tasks and recordkeeping. You will provide basic first aid, participate in health screenings, and help manage student health records under RN supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CPR/AED/First Aid certification, and willingness to obtain vision/hearing/spinal/diabetes screening certifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
• Certifications for vision, hearing, spinal and diabetes screenings.
• 1 year health-related experience.
• Experience with school-aged children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic first aid and care for students for minor injuries and illnesses.
• Administer medications under RN direction and maintain logs.
• Assist with health screening activities (vision, hearing, spinal, diabetes).
• Maintain and update student health records and reports.
• Communicate with parents and staff regarding health needs.
