Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking a Groundskeeper (Level I, II, or III) to maintain campus landscaping, lawns, trees, and related grounds equipment. The role requires physical labor and safety compliance, reporting to the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position focused on outdoor work, including pest control and occasional support for Building Maintenance and MEP/HVAC tasks. A valid Texas driver’s license and experience with lawn care are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience using lawn equipment including mowers, weed eaters, trimmers, and power tools.
• A valid Texas driver’s license with the ability to be insured by the college.
• Two years or more of full-time commercial grounds keeping experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, and flowerbeds; keep grounds free of litter and debris.
• Perform minor repairs to grounds equipment and assist with irrigation maintenance.
• Assist with Building Maintenance and MEP/HVAC tasks as needed.
• Report accidents and assist with signage and furniture setup.
