Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain campus grounds, mow lawns, trim shrubs, plant and fertilize beds, and help keep walkways and parking areas clear. The role includes winter snow removal and basic equipment maintenance, supporting our resident-centered care.

The position offers a full-time schedule from 7:30a-4p with some weekend work, inviting a dedicated team player who values safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience: One to five years in grounds maintenance or related work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mows grass using hand-propelled or riding lawn mowers.
• Trims shrubbery and trees under supervision.
• Removes litter from campus grounds, roadways, and parking lots.
• Plants, transplants, prunes, and fertilizes flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Removes snow using power equipment, such as plows, snow blowers, or rotating brushes, or manually with shovels.
• Provides routine maintenance on lawn care equipment, i.e. check oil levels, sharpen blades, change spark plugs, and mix gas and oil as required.
