Job summary

The Landscape Operations department within the Facilities and Business Operations at the University of Central Florida is seeking a Landscaper I to support the maintenance and appearance of campus grounds. This role is responsible for a variety of landscape tasks across assigned zones.

Responsibilities include mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, mulching, and reporting pest or disease issues per IPM. A valid driver's license and basic English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of 9th grade or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Willingness to perform landscape maintenance tasks and operate hand tools.
• Basic IPM knowledge and ability to follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance duties including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, mulching, and hand weeding.
• Operate hand tools and landscaping equipment as needed.
• Identify and report pest or disease issues per IPM plan.
• Support campus upkeep, including raking and trash removal.
• Assist with tasks such as hauling dirt/debris and watering non-irrigated areas.
• Maintain equipment with cleaning, lubrication, and reporting needs.
