Job summary

Riverside City College is seeking a Groundskeeper (Facilities) to maintain lawns, medians, and exterior spaces across campus. This full-time, 12-month position supports the district’s facilities team by mowing, pruning, irrigation, and operating a range of grounds equipment.

Candidates must have a high school diploma (12th grade) and at least one year of groundskeeping experience, basic arithmetic, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Qualifications

• Completion of the twelfth (12th) grade and one (1) year of experience performing groundskeeping duties.
• Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance procedures and safety practices.
• Ability to operate and perform minor maintenance on grounds equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform grounds maintenance duties including mowing, pruning, spraying, and irrigation.
• Operate and maintain a variety of grounds equipment and hand tools.
• Transport materials and ensure cleanliness and safety of campus grounds.
• Apply pest control methods and perform weed abatement as assigned.
• Maintain records and follow written/oral instructions.
• Provide high-quality customer service and work with diverse community.
• Assist with event setup and other related duties as needed.
