Job summary

The St. Paul’s Schools in Baltimore, MD are seeking a Grounds Crew member to maintain our 120+ acre campus. This hands-on role involves outdoor work year-round, snow removal, and supporting large campus events.

You will work with a collaborative Facilities team to keep fields, walkways, and gardens safe and welcoming for students and visitors. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and experience in groundskeeping, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate power equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with outdoor maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
• Familiarity with power equipment and grounds tools; CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance of campus grounds, including mowing, trimming, fertilizing, weeding, pruning, and mulching.
• Maintain natural grass and synthetic athletic fields for safety and playability.
• Operate and maintain grounds equipment such as mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, blowers, line trimmers.
• Assist in planting, trimming, and care of trees, shrubs, and flower beds.
• Clear debris and maintain cleanliness of roads, walkways, parking lots, and outdoor areas.
• Seasonal duties including leaf cleanup, snow/ice removal, and event setups.
