Job summary

Edmonds College in Lynnwood, Washington is seeking a Grounds & Nursery Services Specialist 5 for a temporary six-month classified role. The position reports to the Grounds Manager and collaborates with campus staff and the horticulture department to care for roughly fifty acres of outdoor spaces including lawns, gardens, bioswales, trails, and plazas.

The role also supports recycling and hazardous waste programs and requires the ability to work outdoors in all weather, lift up to 50 pounds,

Qualifications

• One year of experience in gardening, grounds maintenance, nursery, parks, or related activity.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform grounds maintenance programs and landscape projects.
• Operate power and motorized equipment such as light tractors, mowers, and sweepers.
• Assist in recycling and stormwater maintenance programs.
• Be able to work outside in all weather and lift up to 50 pounds.
