Job summary

Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland, OH is seeking an experienced Campus Groundskeeper to join our Operations team. The role focuses on maintaining turf, beds, trees, irrigation, and our athletic fields across a 25-acre campus.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in groundskeeping, a valid Ohio driver's license, and a proven ability to work independently or with a team while upholding our Jesuit mission and high standards of service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in groundskeeping or similar field.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical equipment for landscape management and snow removal.
• Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's License and meet insurability requirements.
• Self-starter with attention to detail and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to engage with Jesuit mission and Catholic teachings.

Responsibilities

• Executes plans for daily/weekly/monthly groundskeeping to maintain campus grounds.
• Repairs and maintains equipment and keeps maintenance records.
• Maintains irrigation and schedules as appropriate.
• Cleans and maintains synthetic turf fields, track and surrounding areas.
• External trash pickup and removal.
• Fertilize lawns, shrubs, trees; weed and insect control.
• Pruning of trees and shrubs.
• Clean and maintain fleet of school vehicles.
• Snow removal and ice management before 7:00 a.m. and during the day.
