Job summary

American Heritage School in Palm Beach County is seeking a Grounds Keeper to maintain campus cleanliness and safety. Experience in grounds maintenance is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.

The role includes daily cleaning, upkeep of floors, trash removal, and helping prepare facilities for events. This position offers competitive benefits and opportunities for growth within a nationally recognized school system.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Experience in grounds maintenance is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum and mop floors daily in designated areas.
• Strip and wax floors as needed.
• Empty trash and replace liners; ensure daily removal.
• Clean windows, doors, and fixtures as requested.
• Disinfect bathrooms and replenish supplies.
• Dust and wipe surfaces; maintain janitor’s room.
• Report supply needs to Lead Representative.
• Set up and break down events and furniture.
