Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College Marion Campus is seeking a Greenhouse Assistant under the Agriculture Program Chair to assist with plant care, harvesting, and maintenance in the campus greenhouse and to keep records as required.

Responsibilities include custodial tasks, organizing projects, and supporting ongoing greenhouse activities. Applicants must be Marion Campus students enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and eligible for work-study with FAFSA on file.

Qualifications

• Plants care and propagation in greenhouse environment.
• Record-keeping and reporting as required by supervisor.
• Ability to perform routine custodial tasks and equipment sanitization.

Responsibilities

• Plant, grow, maintain, and harvest fruit, vegetable, and tropical plants in greenhouse as directed by Program Chair
• Keep records as required
• Perform custodial tasks such as sweeping and sanitizing equipment
• Complete organizational projects within greenhouse
