Job summary

Dunn School is seeking a full-time Facilities Technician to join our Facilities team in Los Olivos, California. The role focuses on maintaining campus buildings, grounds, equipment, and furnishings to ensure a safe, attractive environment for students and staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, managing work orders, and supporting events. A strong work ethic, customer service approach, and the ability to work independently or with a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a similar or comparable facilities role.
• Experience across multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, roofing or general handyman).
• Experience operating standard facilities tools and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and school safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Facilities with repair and maintenance of campus infrastructure, grounds, facilities and equipment.
• Collaborate with other Facilities team members and outside vendors and crews.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors for construction, maintenance, grounds and cleaning services.
• Manage multiple work orders and communicate status to the Director of Facilities for accountability.
• Inspect facilities to ensure safe, attractive, and clean conditions.
• Assist in managing and recommending furniture and equipment for operations.
• Set up furniture and equipment for campus events (graduation, opening day, athletics, admissions).
• Support with community and state agencies to uphold health and safety standards.
