Job summary

Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences is seeking a Painter for campus maintenance and renovation projects in Tulsa. The role involves preparing, painting, and finishing interior and exterior surfaces across university buildings and facilities, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with brand guidelines.

Under supervision, you will read work orders, select materials, and coordinate with other Facilities trades to support preventive maintenance and special projects.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; degree must be conferred by start date.
• Two years of post-secondary education in building trades with two years of related experience preferred.
• Four years of experience in general framing, interior framing, drywall, finish carpentry, cabinet making, concrete finishing, etc.

Responsibilities

• Interpret work orders and determine materials and methods.
• Perform painting and finishing of interior and exterior surfaces.
• Collaborate with carpentry, electrical, and mechanical trades on preventive maintenance and renovations.
• Respond to emergencies and provide maintenance support as needed.

Education

High School/GED

Two years post-secondary education in building trades

Four years of experience in framing/finishing/building trades
