Job summary

The Compass Church in Naperville, IL is seeking a Part-time Facilities Worker to help maintain clean, safe and welcoming campuses across our South Naperville and Naperville locations. You will support events by setting up rooms, performing routine janitorial tasks and assisting staff and volunteers to prepare spaces for ministry.

Responsibilities include setting up worship spaces, cleaning surfaces, coordinating with team members, stocking supplies and ensuring restrooms and common areas meet

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Dependability, flexibility and a service-oriented attitude.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between church Campuses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Campus Worship Centers, classrooms and meeting rooms before events, setting tables and chairs as requested.
• Perform janitorial duties including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, trash removal and restroom cleaning.
• Ensure a safe, clean and welcoming environment during services and events; respond to needs as they arise.
• Remain available during services for on-site needs, possibly using headset or radio to communicate with staff.
• Interact with staff, volunteers and attendees to address safety, cleanliness and comfort.
• Monitor inventory of janitorial and hospitality supplies and notify leadership when stock is low.
• Inspect restrooms to ensure fixtures function properly and report repairs as needed.
