University of Central Florida - College of Medicine seeks an Electrician I to ensure a safe, functional campus environment. You will troubleshoot electrical issues, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and respond to service requests across a large institutional setting.

The role requires compliance with national/state codes, on-call availability, and the ability to read blueprints. The anticipated hourly rate ranges from $23.33 to $31.21, with shifts existing across multiple schedules.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved electrician apprenticeship program or a high school diploma with 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct planned electrical maintenance to prevent failures.
• Perform PM repairs and corrective repairs to restore functionality.
• Install, maintain, and alter wiring, power appliances, light machinery, circuits, motors, generators, and other electrical components.
• Locate and rectify power failures and electrical malfunctions.
• Maintain and repair fire alarm systems as needed.
• Assist with work performed by central shops, contractors, and other departments.
• Complete work orders promptly and record labor hours, codes, stock, and notes.
