Job summary

Qualifications

• Five years of work experience in the electrical trade.
• Ability to read blueprints, plans, drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical codes.
• Skill in maintenance and use of tools, equipment and materials of applicable trade.
• Ability to lift 50–80 lbs and climb ladders.
• A valid driver's license; may require respirator or SCBA when needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair AC and DC electrical wiring systems, power sources, lab equipment, and related components.
• Install, maintain, and repair circuits and equipment; troubleshoot using testing devices.
• Keep tools and equipment clean and properly stored.
• May prepare cost estimates, material orders, reports and maintenance records.
• Observe and enforce safety requirements related to equipment operation.
