Job summary

Oklahoma Baptist University seeks a Dispatch/Switchboard Operator to manage the university switchboard, dispatch officers for the University Police Department, and monitor campus surveillance cameras. This is a 40-hour-per-week, safety-sensitive position integral to campus safety and operations.

The successful candidate will attend all hours of operation, communicate professionally with staff and students, and be capable of handling after-hours calls and urgent situations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with switchboard, dispatch, and surveillance equipment is preferred.
• Able to communicate professionally with staff, students, and administration.
• Willingness to work after hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Attend switchboard during all hours of operation.
• Answer switchboard and transfer calls to appropriate offices.
• Monitor campus surveillance cameras.
• Dispatch officers to service calls.
• Communicate with other universities or law enforcement agencies.
• Complete Officer Shift Log.
