Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Dining Supervisor for University Housing and Dining on UT Main Campus. You will lead daily dining room operations, ensure safety and cleanliness, and deliver a high-quality dining experience for residents.

You will supervise diverse staff, coach performance, support recruitment and onboarding, and drive guest satisfaction. The role calls for strong supervision, food service experience, and commitment to UHD 5-Star standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED.
• Two years of food service experience in a restaurant, commercial, or institutional facility.
• One year of supervisor experience in food service or similar capacity.
• Experience with operating standard kitchen equipment.
• Ability to complete and maintain Food Safety Training.
• Ability to complete and maintain University Housing and Dining cash handling training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day dining room and service floor operations and serve as shift lead.
• Foster a respectful and collaborative team culture, coach performance and participate in recruitment, onboarding and training.
• Champion customer-first service, engage with guests on the floor and relay feedback to management.
• Document shift updates and maintain alignment across service periods and teams.
