American University’s Career Center and AU Abroad are hiring two Digital Assets & Content Creators (Designers) to craft engaging visuals that promote programs, events, student success stories, and experiential learning opportunities.

This role suits students interested in graphic design, digital marketing, branding, and photography, offering hands‑on marketing experience in higher education.

Qualifications

• Strong written and visual communication skills.
• Experience with Adobe CC including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop; willingness to learn additional apps.
• Familiarity with Instagram, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
• Attention to detail and ability to incorporate feedback while aligning with branding.
• Commitment to maintaining American University branding standards.

Responsibilities

• Design graphics, social posts, stories, digital signage, and promo materials.
• Develop content for Instagram, LinkedIn, newsletters, websites, and other platforms.
• Create print and digital marketing materials.
• Photograph AU Career Center and AU Abroad events and activities.
• Develop visuals highlighting student success and experiential learning.
• Update and organize digital assets while keeping brand consistency.
• Contribute creative ideas for student engagement and outreach campaigns.
• Collaborate with staff and student teams on design projects.
