Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Student Worker to support functional custodial tasks at the University of Delaware - Harrington C Store, Newark, DE. You will maintain cleanliness and safety, follow procedures, and assist with safe handling of housekeeping tasks.

The role involves light to moderate physical activity, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with campus staff to meet client expectations.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs.
• Must follow basic safety procedures due to chemical exposure.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to procedures to provide a safe working environment; complies with OSHA, state, local, federal, and Aramark regulations.
• Maintains a clean and orderly environment to protect safety and health.
• Cleans and maintains housekeeping equipment properly.
• Cleans assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements.
• Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash; transports it to designated areas.
• Reports maintenance concerns via work orders to appropriate personnel.
• Secures the facility; ensures building is locked/unlocked as required.
• Ensures security of company assets.
