Job summary

University of Virginia is seeking student workers to support the College’s Marketing and Communications Team as Content Producers for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. You will brainstorm content ideas weekly with the Content Team, conduct on-ground interviews, and capture events for social channels.

The role requires an active UVA undergraduate status, strong communication skills, and flexibility in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Current UVA undergraduate student in good academic standing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work both independently and with others.
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable on camera.
• Prior experience with social media management and content production preferred but not required.
• Prior photography/videography experience welcome but not required.
• Familiarity with editing software (e.g., Premiere, CapCut, Final Cut) encouraged.
• Familiarity with Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator or Adobe Express encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Meet weekly with the Arts & Sciences Content Team to brainstorm content ideas, plan for coverage opportunities and discuss overall social media strategy.
• Facilitate and conduct interviews on Grounds for video content with members of the A&S Content Team.
• Capture photos and videos at student events and activities and post to the A&S Instagram story.
