Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some college coursework in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, digital media, or related field preferred.
• Experience with graphic design, social media, and digital content development.
• Strong written and verbal communication; excellent organization; ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to write for multiple audiences and platforms; able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or similar software preferred.
• Experience updating websites or using a content management system; content for social media.
• Interest in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, digital media, or transportation and sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement communications promoting transportation initiatives, parking updates, commuter programs, mobility services, and events across the Bloomington campus.
• Support communications and marketing to inform students, employees, and visitors about parking services and regulations.
• Attend Parking Operations and Campus Auxiliaries Communications meetings to understand operations and programs.
• Write and edit stories, announcements, website content, marketing materials, and social media posts highlighting parking services, transportation programs, commuter resources, sustainability initiatives, and campus mobility improvements.
• Capture and edit photography and video for websites, presentations, digital signage, social media, newsletters, and promotional campaigns.
• Update website content using Indiana University's WCMS, ensuring information is accurate and accessible.
• Assist in development and implementation of marketing campaigns promoting parking services, transportation programs, events, and commuter engagement.
• Conduct research on communication preferences and information needs of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
• Collaborate with staff across Parking Operations, Campus Auxiliaries, and campus transportation units to develop consistent messaging and materials.
• Support special projects and promotional events throughout the academic year.
