Wellesley Fresh, a division of AVI Foodsystems, is looking for an experienced Chef Manager to lead culinary operations at the Bates Culinary Center at Wellesley College. The selected candidate will oversee a team of 35, manage food quality for a fast-paced scratch kitchen, and ensure compliance with union policies.

The ideal candidate will possess a formal culinary degree and 3+ years of culinary management experience, with a strong emphasis on team leadership and budget management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of chef or culinary management experience required.
• Experience working in a union environment is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct culinary team work.
• Lead daily operations of a high-volume scratch kitchen.
• Manage catering events and special functions.
• Oversee food ordering, receiving, inventory, and cost controls.
• Develop cycle menus and assist with menu planning.
