Job summary

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and code books for carpentry maintenance and installation.
• Have and maintain knowledge of regulatory codes and requirements.
• Follow campus safety procedures, design guidelines, inspection requirements, and financial policies.
• Communicate clearly, orally and in writing, with campus stakeholders.
• Work independently or as part of a team as project needs.
• Six months to a year of rough and finish carpentry including drywall hanging/finishing, framing, door frames, carpet and base installation.
• Hold a NE State Driver's License.
• Read and follow blueprints, shop drawings, and project schedules; safely operate power tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all carpentry-related work activities on projects.
• Assist with layout/design, estimating, material ordering, and scheduling.
• Handle permitting processes and install/maintain carpentry components.
• For non-carpentry projects, assist other trades as needed and may lead specific trades.
• Communicate effectively with campus stakeholders and team members.
