Job summary

Arc Broward is seeking a full-time Custodian to perform routine cleaning across the Barc Housing facility in Davie, FL, interior and exterior areas, following established schedules. The role requires reliability and adherence to safety practices.

You will clean restrooms, bedrooms, offices and common spaces, restock supplies, and assist with events as needed. Arc Broward provides a competitive benefits package and opportunities to serve the community.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, resident's bedrooms, offices, and outdoor spaces following established methods.
• Dust, wipe, sweep, mop, vacuum floors and empty trash; refill dispensers as needed.
• Assist with setup and cleanup of facilities for meetings and events.
• Follow chemical safety instructions and proper usage of supplies.
• Attend to emergencies and clean up in case of spills or bodily fluids.

The Custodian will provide routine, manual work cleaning the entirety of location assigned; both interior and exterior. This position will be located at our Intermediate Care Facility called Barc Housing in Davie, FL. The custodial staff will perform recurring tasks in accordance with established practices and cleaning schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms/ resident's bedrooms /offices/specified indoor and outdoor spaces using established practices and procedure.
• Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; refill restroom dispensers.
• Assist with the setup/cleanup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc.
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
• Attend to emergencies asnecessary including the cleanup of chemicals or bodily fluids.
