Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a Cafeteria Assistant Manager to supervise the campus kitchen team under the Cafeteria Manager. This role supports meal program integrity, counts, and compliance while driving quality and customer service for students and parents.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years in food service, leadership experience, and strong Excel and data skills. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a Texas driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in food service, restaurant, or hospitality.
• Leadership experience preferred; ability to lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Direct the team to execute the approved menu every day.
• Ensure every student receives a reimbursable meal.
• Maintain counting and claiming compliance during service.
• Enter counts into internal trackers and PrimeroEdge.
