The role emphasizes friendly service, accuracy in cash handling, and teamwork to manage peak meal periods while following safety and school policies.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, food service, retail, or customer service experience preferred, but not required.
• Basic math skills and ability to accurately handle cash and transactions.
• Ability to learn and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet students, staff, and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Accurately process cafeteria purchases using the POS system.
• Handle cash and other forms of payment according to procedures.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer and follow cash-handling procedures.
• Assist customers with questions regarding menu items and purchases.
• Keep the cashier station and serving area clean, organized, and stocked.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with light food service, stocking, setup, and cleanup as needed.
• Work cooperatively with team members to provide efficient service during busy meal periods.
• Follow Quest policies and health and safety requirements.
