Job summary

Northwest Mississippi Community College's Bookstore is seeking a part-time, seasonal 12-month Bookstore Clerk to support daily bookstore operations in Southaven, MS. This role handles inventory, ordering, stocking, and selling textbooks, school supplies, and merchandise while delivering high quality customer service to students, faculty and staff and visitors.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and managerial, retail, finance, or accounting experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspection of merchandise and reconciles with purchase orders
• Prices merchandise according to Bookstore’s pricing policy
• Provide customer service to students, faculty and staff
• Assist with ordering, selling, and buying back textbooks
• Order and stock soft goods and other supplies for resale
• Conduct annual inventory of all resale merchandise in bookstore
• Communicate with faculty on textbook orders and changes in textbook
• Maintains the storeroom and front Bookstore service area in a neat and orderly manner
• Adhere to NWCC policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Bookstore Manager, Director of Union Service and Administration
