Job summary

UC Santa Barbara’s Academic and Staff Assistance Program (ASAP) seeks a BEH HEALTH COUNSELOR 3 HX to provide brief counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals to campus and community resources. This role supports faculty, staff and adult family members with mental health and wellbeing programs, under supervision of licensed psychologists.

The position is hybrid (UC and non-UC locations), 100% time, with a salary range described and full benefits.

Qualifications

• PhD/PsyD/LMFT/LCSW/LPCC in clinical or counseling psychology or social work
• Must have a California PhD, PsyD, LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC license at all times during employment in order to practice and function in this clinical role.
• 4-6 years Experience in conducting evidence-based assessment, crisis intervention, and short-term counseling with adults
• 4-6 years Experience developing and delivering psychoeducational workshops
• 4-6 years Experience providing clinical services to diverse populations

Responsibilities

• 60% Direct Clinical Service - Provides brief assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals to campus and community resources.
• 40% Programming and Case Management - Develops psychoeducational programming, conducts needs assessments, and coordinates with ASAP staff and supervisors including practicum trainees.
