Job summary

Utah Valley University is seeking a part-time Starbucks Barista Team Lead to contribute to a welcoming campus experience for students, faculty, and staff. Under the Starbucks Manager, you will prepare beverages to standard recipes while tailoring to customer preferences and supporting daily operations.

You will handle cash/credit/mobile payments, maintain product freshness, and ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area, while restocking and assisting with additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 months of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages according to Starbucks standards and customer preferences.
• Process cash, card, and mobile payments and provide accurate change as needed.
• Adhere to date tagging, rotation, and cleaning procedures for the work area.
• Restock and display bottled beverages, sandwiches, and snacks; keep the area clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Starbucks Manager.

• Serves as a representative of the Starbucks Corporation, providing the best beverage experience possible.
• Ensures that beverages are made to Starbucks standards and recipes, and according to the customer's request.
• Processes cash, credit card payments, or phone pay and gives accurate change, as necessary.
• Adheres to strict procedures for product date tagging, rotating, and cleaning of work area.
• Appropriately displays and sells bottled beverages, sandwiches, and snacks. Restocks and cleans the work area. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

• Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent, plus three months of experience related to the Summary of Duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cashiering experience.
• Barista experience.

Licenses or Certifications

• Food Handler's Permit required.

Knowledge

• Knowledge of effective customer service techniques.

Skills

• Skills in making Starbucks beverages.

Abilities

• Ability to repeatedly lift merchandise.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
